Whilst Demalza (Dee) does not live in the village, she lived in Chapel Street for 14 years, before moving to her current address which is within 4.8km of the parish.
In her day job she is a Commercial Manger for an international renewable energy company, which has given her much experience on planning and environmental issues, as well as general project management.
In her spare time, Dee spent 12 years volunteering with the Army Cadet Force where she gained experience in first aid, risk assessing, safeguarding and volunteer management. She retired from this, to focus on volunteering with more environmental and community emphases, recently setting up ‘Transition Redruth’ where she is working with the Town Council to implement Plastic Free Redruth in association with Surfers Against Sewage.
