Carharrack and St Day Retired and Pensioners Club

The Carharrack and St Day Retired and Pensioners club is back  –  Monday 10th January 2022

Following our stand down during the recent Covid Epidemic we feel it is time to emerge into the world once again. We meet on the first Monday of every month, (provided it is not a Bank Holiday), in the Mills Hall, Carharrack, the doors are open at 1.30pm, ready for the meeting to start at 2pm. We get on the way with a short meeting to discuss the Clubs activities and finances, and then onto some light entertainment, then tea and biscuits, we are usually all finished by 3.30 – 4pm.

We try to provide a varied entertainment program for each month and usually a list for the years entertainment is available by the meeting in March. We also usually provide Coach Trips to various locations during the year, and these trips are with Williams Coaches and pick up points are made in St Day, Carharrack, Lanner, and Redruth. These trips are very popular and need to be booked at the meeting.

We hold various fairs throughout the year, Easter, and Christmas being the most popular and we also have a Christmas Party, with a Meal at a Popular location at the beginning of December, the meal is free to all members who have attended at least 6 monthly meetings during the year.

We also have an Annual Holiday each year, usually with DIASH Holidays, at one of their hotels, each year we vote to which destination we wish to visit, and we have this holiday booked in January of each year, this again, is usually very popular with the members.

Membership is available to anyone of the age of 55 years or over, and membership for the year is for £10.

So please come along on Monday 10th January 2022, let’s get the ball rolling again, and have some fun!
