St Day Parish Council is deeply saddened by the news of the death of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth, following many years of service to our country.
As the Chairman of St Day Parish Council, I wish to inform you, that following this sad news of the death of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth, the Parish Council meeting due on Monday 12th September has been cancelled. This is out of respect to our late Queen, as the meeting falls during the period of state mourning.
Books of condolence, should you wish to sign, are currently in Holy Trinity Church; but next week, will be available St Day Methodist Church, St Day Post Office and also at the Tuesday coffee morning in St Day Community Centre (availability of access for the different locations will need to be checked individually). A letter will be sent to the Private Secretary at Buckingham Palace advising them of the condolences from St Day.
The 9.30am church service at Holy Trinity Church, on Sunday 11th September, will be dedicated to Queen Elizabeth and will be attended by myself, the Parish Clerk and other members of the Parish Council.
