St Day Parish Neighbourhood Development Plan – The Business Survey

Dear Business Owner,
We need your help…  All you need to do is just answer a few short questions.  Part of the work of St Day Neighbourhood Development Plan is to develop a framework for businesses in the areas of St Day, Scorrier and Gwennap Pit. This survey is to gain the opinions of those people who run businesses in these areas.  An opportunity to identify what will help you. The more responses we get the better the information.  This survey is anonymous (if you provide contact details they will not be linked to the responses). If you wish to discuss any issues further or to have more information about the Neighbourhood Development Plan, please contact the parish council – stdaypc@gmail.com.

Attached is a link to a Survey Monkey Questionnaire, please click on this link and respond on the form and follow instructions to submit the survey.

Your replies will form an important part of how we develop policies to expand business and employment in the Parish.

Please respond by Friday 3rd November.
Many thanks,
St Day Parish Neighbourhood Development Plan – Economy and Employment Working Group

NOTICE from CHACEWATER & DEVORAN SURGERIES – FLU VACCINE UPDATE

We now have had confirmation of our delivery of the vaccines for patients over the age of 65.

Due to the delivery schedule for these vaccinations we will have to alter our system for giving these to ensure that we have enough for all our eligible patients.

We will be contacting these patients inviting them to specific organised clinics. Invitations will be going out soon and the clinics will be held in November.

If patients are unable to attend their chosen clinic then alternative arrangements can be made.

We will be requesting patients to bring their invitation letters with them to the clinics. Although these clinics are for invited patients, there will not be appointments slots so that patients can attend at their convenience between the hours advertised.

Eligible patients under the age of 65 will also be vaccinated at these clinics and will be able to attend whichever date is convenient for them. Please contact the surgery for the clinic dates and times.

We sincerely apologise for the delays and issues with the flu service this year.

TEMPORARY PARKING RESTRICTIONS – 10th to 24th October

You are probably aware of the preparation work that has been going on at the UDDGP site since March. We are now ready to start the drilling programme and we expect our drilling rig to start arriving on 11th October.From the 10th of October for approximately 2 weeks there will be a parking restriction on either side of the road leading to the main gate of our site. This is to provide clear access and to ensure that no parked cars are at risk of damage, the area will be marked off with traffic cones for the duration of the restriction.
We would be grateful for your cooperation and will endeavour to keep any disruption to a minimum but if you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us using the information below.

Thank you again for your cooperation

Retirement after 33 Years in Post

The Councillors would like to thank Stephen Edwards, for his long standing commitment to the Parish Council and indeed the community; since he took the role of Parish Clerk in 1985. His last day was 30th September, and we wish him a very happy and relaxed retirement.
